We were so happy to find somewhere fun to stay while staying near home. The treehouse was such a great experience and we would love to come back someday to stay in the Hobbit Hole! What a lovely residence and couple. Maureen & Darwin are great hosts! They make a mean latte & strawberry-rhubard muffin as well. What more could you want?

We celebrated our 48th anniversary at the treehouse. It was on our "bucket list" to stay in a tree house! The tree house was an amazing feat of engineering. Each level had a place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. It is close to the highway - but not a problem. Close to Walmart and HyVee and food. We chose to go on a few walking trail suggested by Maureen (coffee shop) and they were perfect. The inside of the treehouse is very small and rustic, just enough room for the comfy queen size bed. It has a microwave and mini fridge. We woke to squirrels chattering and birds singing - just so fun. Enjoyed taking to Darwin about the treehouse and property. And the coffee shop served breakfast included with the stay. Great coffee! It as a relaxing stay.

My first time staying in a tree house! It was crazy weather, with high winds one night and snow another night! The tree house was cozy and safe through it all. The day it snowed I must’ve not closed the front door all the way, and snow got inside. The owners caught the issue when clearing a path and notified me. It was a complete accident and was grateful they caught it.

Our stay at Maureen & Darwin's treehouse was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the beautiful and peaceful setting — the treehouse is nestled perfectly among the trees, giving it such a magical and serene vibe. The craftsmanship and design of the treehouse were stunning, with every detail thoughtfully considered to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. What really set this experience apart was the incredible hospitality of Maureen & Darwin. We had an unexpected issue with our car during our stay, and they were so understanding and kind. They graciously allowed us a late checkout so we could have extra time to get everything sorted out — it made such a difference and really helped reduce the stress of the situation. The treehouse itself was spotless, well-equipped, and filled with charming touches that made it feel like home. Thank you Maureen & Darwin!

Loved our night in the treehouse. It's so sturdy and we were warm and cozy. Loved the antique finishings like the door, window and dresser. Went to the cute coffee shop the next morning. A great unique getaway!

I can't say anything bad about this place. I am a childcare provider with a house full of pets so there is always work to be done. I was needing a reset and had this B&B on my wishlist for years now. I finally took the plunge as a gift to my boyfriend and I for Valentine's Day this year. The whole place is a dream! It is close to Wendy's and Walmart if the Koffee shop isn't open (it wasn't this weekend, I was bummed but it's an excuse to come back!). The neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves and their dogs only bark to say hello (I saw someone complain about it). I had to resist going to pet them to say they were good boys! :) It was so fun to watch the squirrels and birds and be up where they live. The bed was comfortable. I booked during negative temps so we had to use bottled water for hands & toilet but it made it feel more rustic!!! The books with guest stories are fun to read. Bring white noise if you need that to sleep. :)

This was easily one of the most charming and coziest of places I’ve ever stayed! It felt right at home. The hosts are super sweet! The breakfast and coffee was phenomenal- trust me it’s hard to leave once you go! Loved every bit of it:))
